Xavi Hernandez has won his first title as a coach. In his third official match at the head of Al Sadd, the former Barcelona player has proclaimed champion of the Qatar Super Cup. He won Sheikh Jassim Cup after winning Al Duhail (1-0).
Xavi’s team thus add the first title of the season and the second victory of the week, having qualified for the quarterfinals of the Asian Champions League.
In spite of not being able to count on sanction with the team’s scorer or with the head office, Xavi ‘s side have been much superior throughout the match, has had control of the game at all times and a goal has been enough in the 13th minute.
This would be a good start as a manager at Qatar. Meanwhile some fans took to twitter to express how they would love Xavi to manage a club at Europe.
